105. Today

We went running yesterday. This time a little more serious about it. Around our local park 4 times, walking half the time, running the other. God it felt good. But we were so amazed that once again we felt so energized afterwards and even walked downtown a little later. And to our surprise, we did not feel tired for the whole day. We usually have times in the day when we do get sort of sleepy but this time we didn’t. That running is doing something to our body. Oh well it’s all good. Of course today we probably won’t be doing any running outdoors. That white stuff changes things just a little. Wonder if you can run in snow shoes.

We use to go to our local gym, Spartacus. And when we figured out who Inside was actually going they became a group called “Spartaci”. Isn’t that the plural? Victoria (6mf) loved doing the weights. We have 10 lb dumb bells which she likes to pump every once in a while. But the problem with going to the gym – we feel so exposed to the world there. More so than simply being out on the street. It took us a long time before we even decided to start going. It was really scary at first but eventually we went there regularly. Until it became a chore. Then we stopped. So now we walk a lot, and do a little yoga and weights at home. As long as we are getting some kind of exercise and it doesn’t feel like a chore we’re okay.

Yesterday was a fun day. Went to visit Lance and a little bit with Graham. The kids Inside just love visiting them. Stoene Boy (6st) was out a lot and absolutely enjoying himself. Hartly was right behind, trailing Stoene Boy like a shadow. Graham loves to tease Stoene Boy but Stoene Boy is almost 5 years old and he’s starting to catch on to how to tease. We made pizzas with Lance and Stoene Boy kept telling Graham he wasn’t getting any. Graham, of course, plays right along and it’s just wonderful. Lance and Graham are so good at playing and both have a wonderful sense of humour. When we are with them we are always laughing.

Kids’ Day is coming up soon. That usually involves Lance, Graham, Sarah and a good friend of ours who is also multiple. We usually have a kids’ birthday party – pizza, cake and presents – toys that is. Is it ever fun. Some of our friend’s young alters come out too. What a scene eh? Not your usual birthday party, that’s for sure.

And yesterday we watched some movies on tv with Lance too. We don’t go to movies anymore. Not for a long time now. It began to be a problem as some Inside would get triggered by things and feel so afraid. It was very difficult. Even watching movies on tv can be triggering of course but then we can change the channel. Movies often scare us. We now prefer tv series because there’s a certain amount of predictability to them. Graham has got Lance and us following a number of tv series over the years. 24, Lost, Supernatural for instance. Then Lance got into some that we also got hooked on. Buffy the Vampire Slayer for one. We used to think there was no way we were going to watch any show where people’s faces could suddenly change into vampires. No thank you. But we eventually gave in and it wasn’t so scary after all. The stories and characters were actually really great and interesting. Now we watch Supernatural about two brothers who travel the U.S. looking to eliminate demons, vampires and other “evil” beings. It’s quite well done. Some of the same people who did X Files are on board. Fortunately we watch the show at home and we do have to stop the video often. This show is definitely scarier than Buffy or X Files but we are already into the second season and hooked. So we do it bit by bit. When it gets too scary we simply turn it off and watch something else. Then we go back to it the next day. It’s all about having control. In a movie theatre you don’t have a lot. Your only choices are to stay or leave.
